Good question. If anyone ever asks you if rulers are a boring thing to collect, have them look at this book by Thomas K. and Heather Adamson ( Capstone Press, 2011). It's hilarious. The author use photos of children, a guinea pig named Gary, and a dog named Barney to illustrate the concepts of size and depth. Sample text: "Barney is longer than three Garys!" Check it out.
