Earlier this month I bought a black/white photograph on ebay, partly because it's made of paper and it showed up in one of my usual searches for the word "ruler," and partly because I loved the smiles on the students' faces. Except for the young man's face! The other students look like they're going to hit their fellow student with their rulers. There were no clues on the photograph about place or date, though the seller described it as from Ukraine, in the 1960s. (Seller is from Odessa.)
Purchase (ebay) -- "colaxais-365" = Mykola Ternavsky, Odessa, Ukraine -- received 7 February 2024
That's interesting! So sad to think of Ukraine as it is now and we sit here delaying the aid so that republicans can feel righteous about something. It's ridiculous.
